After over 16 hours on the Greyhound, I arrived in Charlotte at 3 pm. I was exhausted since I didn’t sleep much on the bus, and glad that I didn’t have to do anything until later that evening.
David’s apartment was only a short walk from the bus terminal. It was located in one of the many high rises in Charlotte and I was amazed by how stylish it was. The apartment itself was beautiful and had an amazing view of the city. I got settled in and relaxed for a while. David and I talked about a lot of things just like old friends and before I knew it, it was time to go to the p!nk concert, which was just a 10 minute walk down the street.
The concert was unbelievable. I don’t have words to describe it. I was so happy and excited and impressed and couldn’t believe that it was actually happening. I’m so, so glad that I decided to go to the concert. Not only because of the concert itself, but also because of all the other amazing experiences I’ve had so far.
When I got back to David’s place, I picked up my camera to take some photos, but they didn’t turn out too great. It was foggy when I left the concert, but by the time I was ready to take pictures, it had gotten so bad that you could barely see the buildings across the street.
It was still a nice view, though.

The day before, David and I had decided to go to Charleston for the day. It’s about a 3 hour drive from Charlotte, but that didn’t stop us.
I had such a great time with him, and I’m still amazed by how well we hit it off. It was as if I’d known him for years. When we got to Charleston, we got lunch at a place called The Tattooed Moose and then went downtown where we walked around for a bit.
Before we went back home, we also went to the beach, just to have a look at the ocean and breathe in the salty air.
Back at his place, we shared a cigar on his balcony, had pizza and watched Netflix. What a great way to end such a nice day!

On my last day in Charlotte, I met with Katie, who I’ve known for over a year and finally got to meet in person. It was so much fun! She showed me around town, we talked a lot and then had lunch together before she went back home.
I walked around town some more and took some pictures before I went back to David’s place to rest for a bit, because we planned on going to the climbing gym in the evening.
Going climbing was a lot of fun (and it already payed off that I brought my climbing shoes). It had been years since I last climbed high enough to actually need a rope, I’m more used to bouldering. Even though I was scared, I still (successfully!) went up two 40 ft (12 m) walls. I’m glad that I overcame my fears because it gave me a great sense of accomplishment.
It was already really late when we got back home, but we made sandwiches and talked for quite some time before we actually went to sleep.

In the morning, David said goodbye before he left for work and I had the apartment to myself for the last couple of hours before I had to get to the bus station.
I packed up all of my things (I’m getting quite good at it, now), had breakfast and then just chilled for a while before I started my next adventure.
