Since we didn't have to work today, Michael and I did not have breakfast until 9:30am. At about ten we started our little hike to the plateau.

On the way up, we came through a small hamlet, where in front of each house lots of snapweed grew. Michael had never seen anything like that, so we spent 5 minutes letting the weed snap. (Of course, that was completely selfless on my part.)

At the top we went to the cliffs and took pictures of the great view. Not far below us, we heard a big animal from time to time but couldn't see anything. So we descended a little way down the slope, hoping to see and photograph the animal. Unfortunately we had no such luck, but at least got a welcome cooling off, since the slope was wooded.

The walk across the plateau was, though flat, very exhausting, because it was noon by now and the sun was shining down on us relentlessly.

On the way back to the house we went to the Madonna, from where we had a great view of Argis.

Mein Lieblingsfoto von heute.

Michael.
Upon arriving at the house, we gave the neighbor's two sheep a few apples from an apple tree nearby, over which they immediately quarreled. Three apples is apparently not enough for two sheep; there has to be pushing.

We had a very late lunch and then rested for the rest of the day. I finally finished reading a book that I had started reading before coming to France. Then I played some fetch with Jabba Ball before I lay down for a bit.
In the evening, I edited photos and worked on the blog until we had dinner. We had a good time and could cheer Luc up a bit. Clémence is still in the hospital. She had surgery today (her wrist is broken, not the foot, there were translation difficulties) and she has to stay there one more night for observation. After the meal, I took care of the rabbits before another wonderful day came to an end.
