It’s a good thing we didn’t harvest today, because I completely overslept. I had planned on getting up at 7.30am, but it turned into 8.30am (despite having set 3 different alarms).
After breakfast, Michael and I had wanted to go to the garden to pick apples. When we prepared the cases for that, Luc noticed that one of the wine tanks that had been filled this past weekend was overflowing with foam.
For that reason, there was a change of plans and we didn’t go pick apples, but filled the wine into other tanks.
Over the course of the day, we had filled all of the wine into barrels. We also cleaned several tanks and the press for the next harvest, which took us a few hours.
We ate lunch outside, even though it was a bit could in the shade. I’ve had a cold for a couple of days, now and had worn a scarf and hat all day, even in the afternoon when it was over 20°C. Luckily, it’s supposed to be warmer again tomorrow.
After a long lunch break, Michael and I finished the work we had started in the morning. In the afternoon, we went a short ways down the street to take some pictures.
I immediately edited the photos when we came back to the house, while sitting in the sun on the terrace. When the sun was gone, I went back inside to write my blog. Mélina covered me in her stuffed animals, which made writing difficult, but not impossible. It was great fun.
